13. Where does the Humanitarian Aid go?
We are proud that leading global organizations like Feed The Children, The Pachamama Alliance, and Youth Action International have partnered with HUB to receive aid. Our list of impact partners (aid recipients) continues to grow regularly. For a current full list of our impact partners, go to the “Impact” section of this website and click on “Impact Partners”.
14. Do recipients of HUB’s monetary support also expect to receive empowerment training?
Absolutely. For example, right now, HUB is supporting what we affectionately call “an extreme makeover for villages” in Africa. When the African people receive their food from HUB distributors, they also receive education and training. Some people will be taught how to farm; others will be taught how to run businesses; micro-loans, also provided through HUB partners, may be given. Then, as products and services are created, HUB will support the selling of those goods and services through our HUB Global Marketplace and as these products and services are sold, a model for true sustainability is achieved.
15. How does HUB choose the recipients of the total package of care?
HUB’s first group of impact partners (aid recipients) were selected based on their track record of providing quality, impactful care in an environment of transparency and fiscal responsibility.
HUB is growing and anticipating the ability to significantly increase our aid in the future so we are currently in the process of assembling a completely Independent Humanitarian Impact Allocation Council (IHIAC) that will oversee the selection and disbursement of all funds generated through HUB's monthly membership program. In addition, HUB will make additional discretionary impact allocations from the sales of our other products, programs and live events.
16. I know HUB gives aid in many areas of the world, but I see a few programs focused in Africa specifically. Why is Africa important?
Africa is the birthplace of humanity and yet is currently the most vulnerable continent on the planet. Statistics show that African nations lead nearly all of the categories relating to poverty, disease and mortality as well as having some of the lowest rates of education on the planet. Africa also allows us to maximize the impact that we make because the cost of care both in terms of labor costs as well as the cost of physical goods is lower than most other places in the world. Simply put, the economics allow us to impact more lives per dollar in Africa than anywhere else on the planet. That said, HUB is committed to providing aid in many areas around the world, including the USA where the company is based.
